Today marks three years since the passing of Jean Paul, a tragedy his family continues to describe as one that could and should have been avoided.
As tributes poured in across social media, one message stood out, a deeply emotional post shared by his mother. In her tribute, she wrote that 3 December will forever be the day her world changed, reflecting on the grief she carries and the strength she draws from her son’s memory.
Sharing photos of herself carrying Jean Paul on her back, she said the images remind her that “no matter what life threw at us, he always had my back and he still does.”
She added that his love, courage and spirit continue to guide her as she fights for truth and justice, not only for him, but for every victim whose voice was silenced through negligence.
She described herself as proud of the boy he was and determined that his name is never forgotten.
A powerful reminder of a life gone too soon, and a family still fighting to honour his memory.
