A new national record has just been confirmed by The Malta Records after a group of 28 Maltese travellers became the largest Maltese group ever to complete the journey from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp.
The team organised by Royal Travel Ltd and led by Jean Paul Borg reached Tibet’s Everest Base Camp at 5,200 metres above sea level in just 54 hours, arriving on 22 August 2025. The group included participants aged from as young as four to over seventy, making the achievement even more remarkable.
The Malta Records described the adventure as a memorable and physically demanding challenge, with the group sharing stories that highlight just how unforgettable the experience was.
A proud moment for all involved and a new milestone for Maltese adventure travel.
