The Malta Women’s National Team delivered a memorable performance as they pulled off a brilliant comeback to defeat Croatia 3–2 in a highly competitive and intense friendly match.
Showing determination from start to finish, the squad fought their way back into the game, scoring two late goals that turned the match on its head. Sara Saliba and Maria Farrugia were the heroes of the night, striking decisively to complete the dramatic turnaround and secure a well-earned victory for Malta.
A massive well done goes out to the entire squad for a strong collective effort, displaying grit, discipline and the mentality needed to close out such a challenging encounter.
The team will now prepare to face Croatia once again this Monday, 1st December, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00.
