St Ignatius College Mikiel Anton Vassalli Secondary School in Tal-Ħandaq has officially set a new national record after collecting an impressive 2,044 BCRS refundable bottles and cans — all donated to the animal welfare NGO Second Chance Horse Rescue Malta.
The initiative, supervised by an official from The Malta Records, recognised the school for gathering the largest-ever amount of BCRS containers for a charitable cause supporting abandoned animals.
This student-led effort not only reflects a strong sense of community and environmental awareness but also contributed directly to helping an organisation that provides care and rehabilitation to rescued horses and other animals.
A huge well done to the Tal-Ħandaq school community for turning a simple idea into a national achievement and a meaningful act of kindness.
