• Timmy Thomas becomes Malta’s all time leading goalscorer

    The veteran striker who plays for Senglea Kalkarac became the country’s all-time goal scorer by putting the ball into the net against Kalkara United in the first round of the Amateur Cup. The team went on to win 3-0 that night.

    This was Thomas’s 336th goal of his career, beating the previous record by one goal held by Johnny Camilleri, according to local football statistician Lennard Kelder. Timmy scored the most goals at ironically Kalkara United with 74 goals, being the club’s all-time leading goal scorer at the same time.
